Build a presentation
Presentations let you turn your diagrams into a shareable slideshow — each slide is a diagram or a focused section of one. Useful for walkthroughs, design reviews, and any situation where you need to guide someone through a set of diagrams in sequence.
Create a presentation
- Go to your dashboard.
- Click New diagram.
- Select Presentation.
- Add diagrams to your slides from your existing library, or create new ones inline.
Add and manage slides
Click Add slide to insert a new slide. Each slide holds one diagram. To reorder, drag slides in the slide panel on the left. To remove a slide, right-click it in the panel and select Delete slide.
Focus on a section
If a diagram is large, you can zoom and pan to a specific section and set that view as the slide. What you see in the preview is what your audience sees — position the diagram before locking in the slide.
Present
Click Present to enter fullscreen presentation mode. Use arrow keys or click to move between slides. The diagram renders at full resolution, no quality loss. Press Escape to exit presentation mode.
Share a presentation
Click Share to generate a link to your presentation. Anyone with the link can view it in presentation mode — no Mermaid account required.
Set access to Anyone with the link can view for public sharing, or keep it Private and invite specific teammates.
Common questions
-
A diagram looks different in presentation mode than in the editor. Check the theme: if the theme is set at the editor level rather than in the diagram’s front matter, it may not carry into presentation mode. Lock the theme in the front matter to keep it consistent. Apply a theme →
-
I want to present diagrams from multiple projects. Presentations currently pull from your diagram library — organize diagrams into a project first, then build the presentation from that set.
